Rudo Stander – founder & director
Being in the utility industry for over 10 years has made it easier for me to understand all the different aspects of the services out there and transfer my skills into locating. As a telecom faultsman, I was always problem solving and helping customers. I really enjoy helping people so this was an easy transition for me as I was used to aiding people with a quick turnaround following strict procedures. I have always had a passion for health and safety. Aiding individuals or company identify services is a big part of today’s health and safety culture, my task is to assist these individuals or companies to minimize damage to infrastructure and make sure we all return home to our families.

I started my career in telecommunications more than 10 years ago. As a Telco Technician I was involved in many aspects of the industry. My duties included Faults, BAU and locating on multiple Telco Networks, this was where I first got introduced to Locating.
During my career as a technician I learnt multiple skills that come in very handy when locating. There was a major emphasis on delivering on time, problem solving skills, and delivering excellence to the customer.
While fulfilling my duties as a Technician/Locator I was also the Health and Safety Rep for my team and always tried to complete my tasks as efficiently as possible and as safe as possible to make sure everyone can carry on working the next day.
I enjoy locating as there is a good balance of meeting new people, problem solving, Health&Safety and an accumulation of knowledge of different networks to attempt to offer every client the best results on every job.
